This policy explains what FoundingFans collects, why it is used, and how account, payment, safety, and moderation information may be handled.
Effective September 20, 2026 · Version 2026-09-20
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FoundingFans, we may collect account and authentication information; name, email, artist name, profile details, and public content; transaction-related information used to identify purchases, supporter status, refunds, disputes, or payouts; communications sent to FoundingFans; technical information such as browser, device, IP address, security events, and service logs; and reports, copyright notices, moderation information, or appeal information.
We also record acceptance of applicable FoundingFans terms and policies, including the policy version and acceptance time, so we can document the rules in effect when an account was created or updated.

3. Content moderation and safety information
To protect FoundingFans and its users, we may review account information, uploaded content, transaction information, reports, and relevant service activity when content or conduct is reported, flagged, or reasonably suspected of violating our policies.
Moderation-related information may be retained when reasonably necessary to document enforcement decisions, identify repeat violations, respond to disputes, protect users, prevent fraud, or meet legal or payment-provider obligations.
4. Service providers
FoundingFans may share information with providers that help operate authentication, payment processing, creator payouts, cloud hosting, databases, media storage, delivery, security, fraud prevention, and technical monitoring. These providers may process information according to their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
5. Payments
Payment processing may be performed by Stripe or other payment providers. Payment-card, bank, identity-verification, compliance, dispute, and payout information may be collected directly by those providers rather than stored by FoundingFans. Information necessary for transactions, fraud prevention, verification, disputes, and payouts may be exchanged with those providers.
6. Legal, safety, and compliance disclosures
FoundingFans may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, investigate fraud or unauthorized activity, protect the rights or safety of FoundingFans or others, investigate serious policy violations, address intellectual-property complaints, respond to credible threats or exploitation, or satisfy applicable payment-processing, banking, or regulatory requirements.
7. Public information
Information that an artist intentionally publishes to a public FoundingFans profile may be visible to anyone and may be indexed or shared outside FoundingFans. Users should not publish information they wish to keep private.
8. Data retention
FoundingFans may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain transaction and supporter records, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect platform security. Retention periods may vary according to the information and its purpose.
9. Security
FoundingFans uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
10. User requests
Subject to applicable law, users may request information about their personal data or request correction or deletion of eligible information through the FoundingFans Contact or Support channels. Some records may need to be retained despite a deletion request for legal, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, security, dispute, or compliance purposes.
11. Changes to this policy
FoundingFans may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, technology, legal requirements, or business practices evolve. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
12. Contact
Privacy questions or requests may be submitted through the FoundingFans Contact page.
